PRAY IT! 99+1: Luke15:1-10

Hi Lovely PoC!

In both the parable of the lost sheep and the parable of the lost coin, we are privy to a simple, yet beautiful roadmap of which to follow as we prepare, as a church, to leave the 99 to go after the 1.  Seek, save, party, repeat! 

This week, as we pray and prepare our hearts and minds for Sunday's message, let us focus our prayers collectively on active obedience.  There is an active component to all portions of what Jesus was illustrating.  Actively choosing to search.  Actively celebrating with others.  Actively choosing joy. 

Leaving the 99 may be on par with leaving our comfort zone.  Leaving the 99 may require something of us... we may have to make sacrifices.  Leaving the 99 will likely require some diligence as we go after the 1. 

All the more reason we need to fully lean into and rely on the Holy Spirit - our guide and our source of strength and encouragement - and all the more reason we need to be praying. 

John 15:26-27:
“But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me. And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning."

Let us actually pray, and actively pray.
